Paul Banks – The Base

Paul Banks, if you didn’t already know, is the frontman of NYC Interpol, and actually already has one solo album under his belt in the form of ‘Julian Plenti…Is Skyscraper’, released under the pseudonym Julian Plenti. His latest album ‘The Banks’ is out on the 22nd of this month, and opens with ‘The Base’, featuring a jittery riff and some delicate string work. It’s a step away from the electronically tinged Julian Plenti and back towards the more familiar sounds of his full time band. Roll on 22nd October, though if you’re not in the mood to purchase music anymore then you can stream the whole album courtesy of Obscure Sound: http://www.obscuresound.com/2012/10/full-lp-paul-banks-banks/

How lovely of them
