More material from the band’s upcoming album has been unveiled. ‘Ísjaki’ is the title of the new track and continues to tread similar, brooding territories as the preceding single ‘Brennisteinn’. It’s less aggressive and definitely a little more optimistic sounding however, especially with a typically rousing chorus, complete with all the twinkles and major key loveliness one would expect from a Sigur Rós track. It seems like, structurally, they’re certainly aiming for more accessible, pop-orientated music. Obviously they pull it off and new album ‘Kveikur’ looks set to be a real turning point for the band.
