Star Slinger reworks Miguel

Let’s make one thing clear. Miguel’s Adorn is a great, great tune. The opening track of last year’s album Kaleidoscope Dream brims with a swagger and bravado that far belies Miguel’s recent seep into the consciousness of the mainstream. Whilst the majority of R&B listeners spent last year being caressed by the dinge and misogyny of The Weeknd, or the corruption and angst of Frank Ocean, Miguel provided a sweeter alternative with eyes on the party, not the comedown. Now, U.K producer StarSlinger has had a play with Adorn, turning it into a full on dance floor filler. The yearning charm of the original is still there, but now with more disco. How apt that it’s Friday tomorrow, if Raccoons celebrated weekends, this would certainly be our weekend jam.
